EXPERIENCE

We were approached by Lloyds Bank to support Madlug, one of the charities it champions, in delivering a purpose-driven pop-up experience in Leeds during Care Leavers Week. The activation needed to operate as both a retail shop and flexible event space, championing Madlug’s mission and community impact.

CHALLENGE

With just six weeks to deliver, the project required fast-paced creative development, strategic alignment and coordinated delivery. The space needed to balance commercial retail functionality with powerful storytelling, while integrating PR, marketing and design support to ensure strong engagement and meaningful visibility.

SOLUTION

M+T Group led the creative vision and strategic planning from concept through to launch. Through our creative studio BEARD, we designed a compelling and visually impactful environment that brought Madlug’s mission to life. The programme also included a hands-on comic book workshop led by Dave Webb, inviting attendees to create their own characters, craft storylines and build their own comic universe. Alongside this, we delivered PR and marketing support and structured event consultancy to ensure seamless execution.

THE
RESULTS

The pop-up opened as a vibrant and emotionally resonant space that captured attention and delivered real impact. The client reflected: “It’s been such a pleasure working with you, and I am so proud of what we’ve all achieved together!”
