An opportunity has arisen to join the development team at V-Ex Virtual Exhibitions – a fast growing, Worcester based company. We are looking for a talented developer who enjoys the challenge of pushing new platforms forward and working as part of a team to build a user friendly and successful online tool.

The successful candidate will work alongside and collaborate with the Lead Developer, working on the company’s flagship V-Ex Virtual Exhibitions Platform. V-Ex is an industry leader in the virtual conference and events industry, working alongside blue chip companies and international events companies to deliver an engaging and informative visitor experience.

The role requires a good team player with a proven ability to work well with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and MVC Frameworks. Good time management skills and an inherent enthusiasm for development are essential.

Principal Duties

  • Support development of flagship V-Ex Platform, including Front-End UI, and Back-End Editor, Stats and CRM.
  • Work with Lead Developer and Company Directors to deliver projects to deadline.
  • Communicate with internal staff about recent updates to the platform.
  • Keep an active interest in new technologies.

    Video Editor

    Position: Permanent, 5 days, full time, 9-5
    Salary: Range from £19k – 24k depending on experience.

    A full time opportunity has arisen to join the Midland Road Studios Team, part of the Marketing + Technologies Group, a leading digital and creative agency in Worcester.

    As Video Editor you will work with a team of talented film makers and creative professionals to deliver innovative, story led content for our customers.

    We offer a varied role, working alongside senior Video Team members as well as creatives from other departments including CGI, Graphic Design and Development. In this role you will be given ownership of your projects and will work on a diverse mix of content including producing content for PR & marketing campaigns, product launches and events.

    As the agency continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and advance within the business.

    What we’re looking for:

    • A highly skilled editor with at least two years of experience, or appropriate qualifications
    • You are fluent with the Adobe Creative Suite packages
    • A proven ability to deliver final edits which adopt the latest innovations while taking the original client brief into consideration
    • A showreel / portfolio that demonstrates your skill with a variety of techniques and editing styles
    • Must have a good understanding of various video file types and be comfortable exporting videos in a format fit for usage at events, online or within apps
    • Ability to communicate with the client during the briefing stages and support project managers in producing a storyboard
    • The willingness to learn new tools and approaches when required.
    • Good organisational skills.

    Non-Essential Skills:

    • Familiarity with delivery of motion graphics within a video
    • Familiarity with other editing software or plugins may be of use

    Requirements for the Role:

    • You must have a high attention to detail and hold yourself accountable for delivering your tasks to the highest possible standards.
    • Your role will involve delivering projects for large scale, international events. As such you must be willing to work under pressure and adapt to non-standard working hours.
    • From time to time you may be required to work remotely, meaning undertaking necessary travel to site and time away from the office.
    • It would be desirable that you have a full driver’s license and access to a car, as travelling to site is an essential part of your role depending on assignments.
    • It would be desirable to have a valid passport, for overseas site visits.

      Junior Graphic Designer

      Position: Full time, Permanent, Hybrid Working (3 days office minimum)

As junior Graphic Designer you will work on a variety of projects including brochures, presentations, branding, POS, digital marketing, social media and exhibition stand designs.
